In September our Research Virtual Machine Infrastructure (RVMI) team migrated a University research group to a new, upgraded server allowing them to continue their research with minimal interruption – a great demonstration of just one of the vital services carried out by Research IT.

A two-phase collaboration between the Cai Lab and the Research Software Engineering team transformed a legacy Strain Database into a modern, scalable platform. The upgrade improved reliability, usability, and flexibility to better support the ongoing research needs of the lab.
