Happy Birthday MDS!
Launched on 1st April 2019, the Mobile Development Service from Research IT is now one-year-old. It has proven to be a very popular addition to the Research IT catalogue over the last twelve months. The service has contributed to research projects across all 3 faculties, delivering 9 apps to date with 8 more in development or planned for the remainder of 2020. In this article we look at some of the what we think are the best features we have delivered to developer.

Large Data Image Reconstruction and Visualisation - Turing Summer School
Collaborative Computational Project in Tomographic Imaging (ccpi.ac.uk) includes a dedicated team of Software Engineers focusing, through development of a Core Imaging Library (CIL), to provide the UK tomography community with a toolbox of algorithms that increases the quality and level of information that can be extracted.
