The team manages, develops and supports a diverse group of platforms for the research community at The University, including HPC, HTC, VMs, storage and virtual desktops, and of course Cloud-based resources. We also help with research project-specific infrastructure (e.g., for clinical imaging facilities in CMFT).
The successful candidate will have the chance to become involved in supporting and developing all of the above platforms, and also to work on a "virtual lab" project using VM, Linux container and Cloud-based technologies.
The position is funded for one year and provides a door into Research IT with a possibility of further opportunities for someone who demonstrates appropriate aptitude.
This position would be ideal for an individual approaching the end of their PhD and looking to take the next step in their career.
