New Windows Computational Resource Now Available

Research IT run a number of computational research platforms for The University, including the Computational Shared Facility (CSF) and the Condor Pool; we also help support the regional N8 HPC platform. Until now, all computational resources have been Linux-based.

We now have a modest MS Windows-based computational resource within the Condor Pool. This is suitable for computational batch jobs, i.e.,, not for interactive work. So if you have been put off using our Condor pool until now due to a lack of Linux experience, then this is your opportunity to make the most of this free resource. Our Research IT experts will be on hand to offer advice on how to get started.
