Intro to UNIX Course

Research IT will be delivering an introductory training course on the UNIX shell (aka the terminal, the Linux command line) on 20th April 2017.

This hands-on course will cover the following topics:

  • Listing and moving around directories
  • Copying, moving, displaying and deleting files
  • Searching
  • Redirection and pipes
  • File access rights
  • Processes

This course is open to research students and researchers at the University of Manchester. Please register if you would like to attend the course.
