Join UK Biobank users and members of the UK Biobank for an event showcasing the breadth of research enabled across the University by this major resource. The event will feature a keynote from the UoM UK Biobank Steering Group as well as lightning talks and posters from researchers across the University.

The organising committee for the UoM UK Biobank User Group and UoM Biomedical Research Centre would like to invite you to attend and submit lightning talk / poster abstracts for the upcoming “UK Biobank at UoM – Showcase” event on Thursday January 30th 2025 from 12pm-4pm, held in University Place.

The event will feature lightning talks, posters, networking sessions and keynotes from researchers from across the University, industry professionals from UK Biobank (who are moving next to the University campus in 2026), and an introduction to the new UoM UK Biobank steering committee.

It’s a great opportunity to build interdisciplinary collaborations with people you might not normally meet, present your research, learn more about the UK Biobank and to get a taste of discover what will be on your doorstep in 2026!
