Mathematica Intro Training - morning session

Join Wolfram on the morning of the 22nd Nov for an in-person Mathematica introductory training session

Nov. 22, 2022 10:00 — 12:30

A 102 Samuel Alexander Building

Mathematica is an integrated environment for scientific and engineering computation, it is available to all students and staff at the University of Manchester.

Training sessions are offered to introduce the technology and teach you how to apply it to your own research problems. The sessions will start with the basics of the Wolfram Language (assuming no prior knowledge) and a brief introduction to the breadth of available computation from PDE modelling to network analysis and from image processing to time-series analysis.

Specific areas that will be covered in sufficient depth for practical application will include statistics, machine learning, visualization, writing high-performance, robust code and deploying interactive computational applications.

Please note that the same session will be run twice on the same day in order to maximise the number of participants - please only register for ONE session. Duplicate registrations will be cancelled.

Both sessions will cover the same material and include time to ask questions discuss your own research problems with the lecturer, Jon McLoone, a senior employee of Wolfram Research.
