Anthony Allen
Business Change and Project Manager
Anthony is a Business Change and Project Manager working on the Research Lifecycle Programme. His background is in marketing and communications, and he has extensive experience leading large change project at universities. He joined Manchester in 2020, having previously worked for the University of Leeds and prior to that at the University of Hull. Currently he manages RLP Project E (Networking and Collaboration) and is the BCM for Project A (Academic Timesheets).

Bharti Gupta
Business Change and Project Manager
Bharti is a Business Change and Project Manager for the RLP Portfolio, currently leading the One Research Facility strategic transformation programme. Her first stint with the University goes back to 2008 as a software engineer in the Faculty of Humanities, before moving to the private sector to work for HSBC and later Vodafone. Bharti has delivered FinTech-led strategies, transformational change, and optimised sustainable IT and business processes. Rejoining the University in 2023, Bharti excels in engaging and collaborating with cross-platform delivery partners and embedding AI-driven best practices in programme/project management and business transformation.

Callam Barnes
Project Manager
Callam is a Project Manager on the Research Lifecycle Programme. He joined the University in February 2024, having previously worked as a project manager for a digital agency who specialised in bespoke software and website development. Prior to that Callam has managed various programmes and projects in the Voluntary Community Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) Sector mainly focused on skills development and young people.

Caroline Martin
Project Manager
Caroline is a Project Manager for the Research Lifecycle Programme. She started working for the University as a Faculty of Life Sciences, IT Officer in 2008. Since then she has also worked as Digital Preservation Coordinator in the Library, Escalation Lead in the IT Support Centre, in the ITS PMO and in the ITS Service Transition team.

Dan Hudson
Business Change Officer
Dan is a Business Change Officer supporting the Research Lifecycle Programme (RLP). After completing an MSc Management degree at the University of Sheffield, he began working within the Business Change Practice of a Sheffield based IT and Change Management Consulting firm, supporting clients across the Private and Public Sectors with the delivery of a range of change initiatives. He joined the University of Manchester in May 2023, and now supports Change Managers across a number of change projects within the RLP.

Emily Dewhurst
Business Change Officer
Emily is a Business Change Officer working on the Research Lifecycle Programme, currently focused on the Stage-based Reform: Award Management and One Research Facility projects. Joining the University in 2018, Emily has worked within the Humanities Research Support team and as part of the team responsible for managing the roll out of Academic access to the project costing tool, BlackDackel. Prior to this, Emily worked within Research Support at the London School of Economics.

Godspower Ekadi
Functional Analyst
Godspower is a Functional Analyst on the Research Lifecycle Programme (RLP) working majorly on the Research Risk Profiler tool which is built in Qualtrics. His background is in Software Development. He joined the university in 2022 as a Software Engineer on the Digital Health Software Team in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health before moving to RLP in 2023.
Prior to joining the University, Godspower has taken on Software Engineer and Web Project Manager Roles within Industry. He holds an MSc. in Mobile Computing and Communications Networks from the University of Leeds and a BSc in Computer Science from Covenant University, Nigeria.

Harvey O'Connell
Business Change Officer
Harvey joined the university in 2024 as part of Research Lifecycle Programme Change Team. He brings over five years of experience from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), where he specialised in clinical research delivery and performance management. Harvey is currently leading the changes planned as part of the Secure Research Environment (SRE) Project. He is focused on delivering sustainable change that enhances the universities research experience. The SRE Project aims to support the removal of barriers to research and improve research services in key areas such as Information Governance, Ethics, and Export Control.

Jacqueline Watson
Project Coordinator
Jacqueline joined the University in 2024 as a Project Coordinator for the Research Lifecycle Programme. She came from the teaching profession, leaving as Head of Chemistry, having taught Science in a secondary school since 2007. Prior to this Jacqueline had worked in the food industry in Regulatory Affairs. Jacqueline provides structured governance support across the Research Lifecycle Programme, coordinating Board activities and providing secretariat support for RLP Board, the Research Infrastructure Strategy Group (RISG) and the Research Infrastructure Advisory Group (RIAG), including preparing papers, and co-ordinating approvals and activities. This enables smooth operation and alignment across RLP governance groups.

John Southern
Project Manager
John is an experienced APM Project Manager for the Research Lifecycle Programme (RLP). He joined the university in August 2024 having previously worked as a Project Manager within the Banking, Insurance, Chemical and Governmental sectors. Prior to being a Project Manager, he was the Unix team lead for HP for 10 years, an IT Security Engineer and a System Architect within a range of UK and European banks. Before that he was an accountant for chemical, engineering and banking multinationals and head of IT for a biocide's plc based in Manchester. He was also the Chief International editor of Linux Magazine.

Kabilas Parameswaran
Functional Analyst
Kabilas is a Functional Analyst with the Research Lifecycle Programme (RLP). He joined the University in 2025, after serving as a Project Administrator at the London College of Fashion, UAL. His career has spanned various roles in higher education institutions, including project management, operations, student support, and business engagement. Currently, he is involved in Case & Contracts Management and Digital Communications projects.

Kamie Kitmitto
Research Life Cycle Programme Manager
Kamie is a Research Life Cycle Programme Manager at The University of Manchester, driving £5M annual investments across six workstreams to enhance research infrastructure and services. With a PhD in Geomatics Engineering and an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School, Kamie has pioneered digital transformation initiatives, including the first internet mapping service and advanced geospatial portals. Recognized for innovation in spatial data and vendor management, Kamie combines strategic thinking with coalition building to deliver impactful solutions for academia and beyond. Kamie thrives on connecting people, ideas, and technology to shape the future of research.

Lucky Zhang
Project Coordinator
Lucky is currently a Project Coordinator within the Research Lifecycle Programme . Since joining the University in 2013, Lucky has undertaken a range of roles encompassing Benefit management, project management, IT PMO management, distance learning, researcher development, IT services support and the publishing sector. Lucky holds MSc degrees in Computer Science and Business Management.

Luke McCann
Business Change Officer
Luke joined the University in 2025 as a Business Change Officer within RLP. With a degree in Business Management and Human Resource Management, and around 10 years of Change Management experience within the finance sector at Barclays Bank, Luke has successfully delivered nationwide, market leading projects focused on transformation and improvement.
With a key mind in transformation and colleague engagement, Luke is currently supporting the One Research Facility project and the Secure Research Environment project.

Malcom Brown
Project Manager
Malc joined the University in 2019 and is a Project Manager. He started his career as a fee-earner for a national law firm and transitioned into the world of IT firstly as a Business Analyst and then into Project Management. Before moving to the University Malc’s career was entirely in the private sector working in law and banking. Malc has run a number of large and small scale projects ranging from the re-branding of the UK arm of the 4th largest bank in North America to the deployment of a dictation system to lawyers. He loves working with people and technology.

Business Change Manager
Traceyanne is a Business Change Manager working on the Research Lifecycle Programme and has extensive experience leading large change projects. She has worked at the University of Manchester since 2008, with over ten years’ experience in focusing on research support areas. She is currently leading the change for Case and Contract Management, supporting PS and researchers alike.

Vicky Short
Change Communications Officer
Vicky joined the University in 2023 as a Change Communications Officer, bringing over 20 years of experience in IT leadership and strategic communications. Her career at Lloyds Banking Group spanned roles in Infrastructure Development, IT Service Desk Management, and Knowledge Management, before specialising in communications for major transformation programmes. Vicky has supported initiatives such as the Lloyds Banking Group Engineering Transformation Programme, Allied Bakeries ERP, and she now plays a key role in driving effective communication for the University’s Research Lifecycle Programme.
