Interested in NVidia GPU / Python Training?

We are currently gauging interest for a potential NVidia training course and we need your feedback!

We are looking at hosting a training course on “Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing with CUDA Python”. This would be provided free of charge by NVidia to University researchers and PGRs. However before we continue we would like to gauge interest in such an event from the research community.

If there is a great deal of interest from the research community the event will be held online in order to accommodate as many people as possible.

For full details of the course content please see the NVidia website but in summary the course explores how to use Numba—the just-in-time, type-specializing Python function compiler—to accelerate Python programs to run on massively parallel NVIDIA GPUs. By attending the workshop you will learn how to:

  • Use Numba to compile CUDA kernels from NumPy universal functions (ufuncs).
  • Use Numba to create and launch custom CUDA kernels.
  • Apply key GPU memory management techniques.

Upon completion, you’ll be able to use Numba to compile and launch CUDA kernels to accelerate your Python applications on NVIDIA GPUs.

If you are interested in attending please register your interest by the 11th of July.
