Microsoft have recently launched a new Higher Education community called Microsoft’s Research Technology Professionals. This community is a global initiative dedicated to people who design, build and use research technology professionally: Research Software Engineers (RSEs), Data Scientists, Data Stewards and System Administrators.
The purpose of the community is to supply members with the resources and opportunities they need to develop new skills, learn how to optimize cloud-powered technology, and share knowledge and data with their peers worldwide.
The first activity of this new network will take place on the 9th December –Cloud-powered academic research Webinar. The webinar will bring together Researchers and Research Technology Professionals to discuss how the Cloud can accelerate their time to insights and breakthrough discoveries.
The webinar will also look at cloud-powered research facilitated by massive training and data acquisition, how to leverage Azure’s current capabilities to build the next-gen Azure and how cloud technology can support real HPC workloads that are in line with FAIR principles.
The webinar is aimed at Researchers, Research Software Engineers (RSEs), Data Scientists, Data Stewards and System Administrators in Higher Education institutions, across the globe.
