Dr Mike Croucher supported researchers in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University for almost 10 years before moving to the University of Sheffield. He is now Developer Advocate at NAG but has continued to write and curate a blog (Walking Randomly) that, in my opinion, every researcher involved in computational work should read. I say "curates" as well as "writes" as he publishes the occasional guest blog, including some from this author!
Mike writes with wisdom and authority on many topics; here is just a flavour that show why this site is regarded so highly by the community.
- Articles on random numbers, particularly in MATLAB, and checkpointing long running code
- Cloud computing articles
- GPU related articles
- Linear algebra
- Articles on software deployment
And countless others, all of high quality. If you find it useful then please let us know!
