Dr Dónal Landers, Director & Dr Julie Stevenson, Senior Business Analyst, digitalECMT, CRUK Manchester Institute
The Digital Experimental Cancer Medicine Team was created to link clinical science with academic and scientific research. A key program being delivered by digitalECMT is a collaboration with AstraZeneca called iDecide, delivering the outputs from a unique partnership between four strategic leaders in oncology (AstraZeneca, The University of Manchester, CRUK MI and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust). The iDecide program enables the digitalECMT to put into practice technology which will help to increase the speed of data input, to benefit scientific research and help the patient have an active role in their treatment and transform decision-making in early clinical trials. Research IT were an integral part of a team developing a system to aggregate clinical and genomic data to facilitate clinical decision-making for patients
Supporting research data management and sharing through the Mendeley Data Evaluation PartnershipRosie Higman, Research Data Librarian, University of Manchester Library
The university is an evaluation partnership with Mendeley Data to try to help develop a platform which makes managing and sharing data easier for researchers. This is designed to support researchers with the increasing requirements from funders and journals to share research data underlying publications. This presentation will give an introduction to the platform, an overview of developments made so far and planned for the coming months, and information on how you can get involved.
The event will take place in 1.34 Simon from 3 – 4.30pm. Please register for this event.
Don’t forget that if you have a query about including Research IT skills and expertise in grant proposals you can come along to our drop-in sessions which take place across the university campus on a regular basis. See our Twitter for the latest information.
